GCS Welcomes National Speaker Kevin Guzzo to Kick Off 2025–26 School Year
Goshen, IN - Goshen Community Schools is excited to welcome nationally recognized speaker and mental
performance coach Kevin Guzzo to address all GCS staff on the first teacher day of the 2025–26 school year
(August 11, 2025).
Kevin Guzzo is one of the country’s leading voices on performance and personal growth. With over 30 years
of experience as a teacher, coach, and athletic administrator, Kevin brings a deep understanding of what it
takes to thrive in today’s educational environment. His keynote address will center around the concept of
getting “One Percent Better”, a mindset that has inspired thousands of educators, students, and leaders
across the country.
Kevin originally developed the One Percent Better concept after a call from performance coach Brian Cain,
who later wrote a book on the idea. Since then, Kevin and Brian have shared these life-changing strategies
with audiences around the globe, helping people create systems of improvement that lead to lasting
transformation.
At the heart of Kevin’s message is the idea of investing just 14 minutes and 24 seconds, a single percent of
your day, into focused, intentional personal growth. For teachers and staff preparing for a new school year,
this message couldn’t come at a better time.
“Kevin’s energy, passion for people, and real-world school experience make him an incredibly relatable and
motivating speaker,” said GCS Superintendent Jim DuBois. “His message of growth, reflection, and consistent
effort aligns perfectly with our district’s vision for the year ahead.”
Kevin is also a Certified Master Athletic Administrator and a member of the National Interscholastic Athletic
Administrators Association National Faculty. He teaches “The Culture Course” at the national level and is
known for his ability to help school leaders build intentional, high-impact cultures.
Goshen Community Schools looks forward to launching the new school year with renewed focus and energy,
thanks to Kevin’s guidance and inspiration. His visit will mark a powerful reminder that small, daily choices can
lead to extraordinary change, for educators and students alike.
